MORE ABOUT US
The probation service is part of the criminal justice system. We work with police, the courts and the prison service to make sure justice is delivered effectively within the Thames Valley. We help protect the public by assessing the risk posed by individual offenders and supervising them in the community. We cover diverse communities in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire with a total population of 2.2 million. TVP is committed to equality and diversity, both in the employment of staff and work with offenders and victims.

We are looking for people who value and respect equality and diversity, and service to the community. There are many roles within the service, including qualified probation officers, staff working towards qualification, probation service officers, administrative staff and others working with offenders (including substance abusers), and victims in the community and in residential settings. Many of our employees have come from different careers and bring a range of different and valuable skills to our work.
