WHO WE ARE
Tesco is the largest retailer in the UK. We operate in a dozen different countries. We sell a vast array of consumer products and services at market leading prices.
MORE ABOUT US
Retailing seems easy – put products on the shelf, and people take them off to buy. But it’s so much more than that. What is the weather going to be like – should we stock barbecues or ice scrapers? How do we transport fresh produce from around the world? How do we leverage scale but meet local expectations? What do we do when the price of a raw material rises? From telecoms, food, banking, home and beauty to clothing, you would be hard-pressed to find any company that sells as diverse a range of products and services as Tesco.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
There are three qualitites which are most important for succeeding in Tesco:
1. Able to problem-solve under pressure and quickly changing circumstances.
2. Critical thinking abilities for dealing with complex and fast-moving events.
3. Organisation, because you will be busy!
In my first year of working for the company I travelled to three foreign countries, led my own negotiations with suppliers, made decisions about the branding and promotion of products, and managed relationships with people right across the world.
Sorry, no jobs are available at this time.
