WHO WE ARE
South Tyneside Homes (STH) is an arm’s length management organisation (ALMO) that was set up to manage and improve the council’s 18,000 properties and deliver support and advice services.

We were awarded the ‘achieving’ level of the Local Government Improvement and Development Social Housing Equality Framework in December 2010, the first organisation to achieve this. Our aim is to work together to make South Tyneside the place people are proud to call home. Our main function is to manage and improve the council’s housing stock. We also support and deliver sustainable regeneration, new build development, proactive neighbourhood management, community investment, housing information, advice and personal care for vulnerable customers.
