MORE ABOUT US
The primary mission of the RAF is to defend the UK, though there’s much more breadth to the RAF than that. The RAF is always on call to help with humanitarian relief worldwide and provides the rapid effect that only air assets and air power can deliver. Around three-quarters of the RAF’s workforce is made up of ground support personnel and only five percent are pilots. The RAF is valued as a force for good, has Platinum status with Race for Opportunity and Opportunity Now and is listed in The Times.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are currently recruiting people from all backgrounds into a wide variety of roles, which all have different entry standards. Whether you’ve yet to attain any GCSEs/SCEs or are a degree graduate, there are over 50 careers to choose from, including current vacancies for medical and nursing officers, aircraft technicians, engineer officers and air traffic controllers. Opportunities for Reserve Forces are also available; you can keep your day job and take on a fulfilling role within the RAF.
