WHO WE ARE
Police Scotland’s purpose is to improve the safety and well-being of people, places and communities in Scotland. Our focus is ‘keeping people safe’, which is at the heart of everything we do.
MORE ABOUT US
There are 14 local policing divisions. Each division encompasses response officers, community officers, crime investigation, road policing, public protection and local intelligence. We are committed to having a workforce that is reflective of our communities. We can only achieve this by recruiting staff who feel valued and encouraged to maximise their potential to ensure the most efficient and effective service is delivered.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Successful applicants come from every walk of life. Each individual must be able to clearly demonstrate that they possess the wide range of personal qualities and attributes essential to become an officer with Police Scotland. Before you go any further you should read about our code of ethics. This provides guidance about what we expect from all staff in the organisation. It is made from the three values of Police Scotland and encompasses our commitment to human rights, anchoring our obligations under the Police Fire and Reform Act 2012.
