QUICK FACTS
We have a variety of roles across the NMC – in setting professional standards, case management and back-office functions
WHO WE ARE
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) regulates nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands.
MORE ABOUT US
The NMC exists to safeguard the health and well-being of the public. We set standards of education, training, conduct and performance – so nurses and midwives can deliver high-quality healthcare consistently throughout their careers. We ensure that nurses and midwives keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date, and uphold their professional standards. We ensure that midwives are safe to practise by setting rules for their practice and supervision. We have transparent processes to investigate complaints made against nurses and midwives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for motivated people committed to ensuring patients and the public receive high-quality and safe care from nurses and midwives. We are the largest healthcare regulator in the UK, and have a wide variety of roles on offer across the organisation, including in legal investigations, professional standards setting, education, communications, finance, procurement and administration. We look for people who can support our organisational values of being accountable, fair, professional, progressive and inclusive.
