‘When I was offered the job at Hastings Borough Council, initially I was apprehensive. I was concerned that my sexuality would be an issue. However, as soon as I started work my nerves disappeared as I was made to feel welcome and was treated the same as everybody else. Overall, I would say it is a great place to work and offers opportunities to grow.’
