WHO WE ARE
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) is a public service which aims to make Derbyshire a safer place to live, work and visit and to achieve excellence in all it does.

DFRS provides a wide range of services, often in partnership with others, to the people who live in, work in and visit the county. The service is available to respond to calls across Derbyshire every minute of every day and works hard to reduce the risks of fires, road traffic accidents and other incidents across the county through its activities. The service employs approximately 1,000 personnel and has a total of 31 fire stations strategically placed to cover the local area.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
DFRS is striving to be a 21st century employer. LGBT employees need to feel comfortable and safe in their working environment. DFRS has supported many pride events throughout the year, in line with its core values. The DFRS LGBT working group meets on a regular basis and is open to all LGBT employees. It provides the opportunity to meet and talk with others, and offers an extensive network of support and advice to all employees. The forum has a confidential email address, accessible only by other LGBT staff.
