Most people in Britain come into contact with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) at some point in their lives. DWP supports its ministers in developing and implementing policies and strategies aimed at: people who receive benefit; people who need help to get work; disabled people; people who pay or receive child maintenance; older people; people who get the state pension. DWP delivers its customer services through four operational organisations: Jobcentre Plus, The Pension Service, Disability and Carers Service and Child Maintenance Group.
