WHO WE ARE
The Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) was created in October 2008 to tackle the challenges to our environment, our economy and future security of our energy supplies.
MORE ABOUT US
Climate change and energy policies are inextricably linked – two-thirds of our emissions come from the energy we use. Decisions in one field cannot be made without considering the impacts in the other. Our three overall objectives are:
• ensuring our energy is secure, affordable and efficient
• bringing about the transition to a low-carbon Britain
• achieving an international agreement on climate change.
The decisions we make now will affect the planet and our way of life for generations to come.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We advertise all our externally recruited roles on the jobs page of our website. Our current workforce is of a diverse nature and through our policies and our LGBT network, we ensure staff are in an LGB&T-inclusive environment.
