WHO WE ARE
As the country’s central bank, we play a fundamental role in the UK economy – ensuring monetary stability and contributing to financial stability.
MORE ABOUT US
The Bank of England is the UK’s central bank. Our two core purposes are to ensure monetary stability and to contribute to financial stability. Our work is challenging, high profile and truly fascinating. In 2013, the government plans for the Bank of England to take responsibility for prudential regulation of banks and insurance companies. In creating the new Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) as part of the Bank of England, we can now offer an even greater variety of exciting opportunities for emerging talent.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our graduates need high levels of intellectual ability and analytical skills, plus a desire for a career that is challenging and rewarding. You’ll need strong analytical skills, the ability to be a team player and work to tight deadlines. You must combine the capacity to learn new skills quickly with the ability to use your initiative, set your own targets and use sound analytical reasoning and clear objectives to make decisions. Graduates joining the bank are often surprised to discover just how friendly and supportive an environment it is.
