The Bank of England is the UK’s central bank. Our two core purposes are to ensure monetary stability and to contribute to financial stability. Our work is challenging, high-profile and truly fascinating. In 2013, the Bank of England took responsibility for prudential regulation of around 1,700 banks and insurance companies. In creating the new Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) as part of the Bank of England, we can now offer an even greater variety of exciting opportunities for emerging talent.

Our graduates need high levels of intellectual ability and analytical skills, plus a desire for a career that is challenging and rewarding. You’ll need strong analytical skills, the ability to be a team player and work to tight deadlines. You must combine the capacity to learn new skills quickly with the ability to use your initiative, set your own targets and use sound analytical reasoning and clear objectives to make decisions.
